It’s hard to believe that the holidays are practically just around the corner. We just celebrated Halloween and even before then, stores were already moving in their holiday merchandise. Each year I tell myself to start my holiday shopping early. But somehow, I end up doing it late anyway. Well, at least I do have my list ahead of time and although I know some people who shop year round, somehow for me, I’ll probabaly end up forgetting where I stashed those gifts by the time Christmas rolls around.
But this year, I’m getting a big help from Melissa & Doug. With toys and gifts suitable for boys and girls of all ages, I’m sure I will find something from Melissa & Doug. I’ve bought many of their toys throughout the years and even long before my son was born to give to my nieces and nephews and friends. You’ve probably heard of Melissa & Doug since you can find their products practically everywhere and you might even have a few of them in your house. And with the holiday season coming up, the wonderful folks at Melissa & Doug have come up with a unique gift list of their 20 most popular toys to share with their readers and a contest on Facebook to win one of the toys: https://www.facebook.com/MelissaAndDoug. You can win a toy every day and the contest ends on November 25 so be sure to stop by their Facebook page and enter!
I also checked out Melissa & Doug’s website and found their Terrific Twenty List really helpful and inspiring: http://www.melissaanddoug.com/Promos/2012+Terrific+Twenty+Holiday+Toys/2012+Terrific+Twenty+Holiday+Toys+from+Melissa+&+Doug/35178. Their list includes incredible toys such as the Big Rig Building Truck Wooden Play Set where your kid can add on wooden parts to complete a truck and it even comes with its own tools; Animal Rescue Shape-Sorting Truck Wooden Toy which is a wooden puzzle toy on wheels; the Trunki, which is a wheeled suitcase and riding toy in one; Doorbell House with a working doorbell and playing dolls; Stamp-a- Scene Fairy Garden which is a complete stamp set, and many more that will delight and entertain your children for hours and hours. And the toys are a balanced selection of age groups and for different growing stages in a child’s life. So there is something for a 1-year old or a 3-year old and up.
If you’ve heard of Melissa&Doug then you know that they make safe, fun, and educational toys for children of all ages. But what I like most about them is that their toys are made from natural wood and they test their products stringently to make sure there are no paints or materials that can be toxic to people. After all, their own kids play with those toys too. So if you’re in the market to find some new toys that are fun to play with, cool to look at, and offer an abundance of educational outlets, then give Melissa&Doug toys a try. They have hundreds of different types of toys to choose from so you’ll most likely find a few for your kids to play with and to give as gifts.
