We’re always excited when Stonyfield Farm comes out with a new yogurt product. In our household, our fridge is stocked up on all kinds of Stonyfield Farm yogurts. My son’s favorite is their YoKids yogurt and Smoothies but when we were introduced to Stonyfield Farm’s newest variety – YoKids Greek Yogurt, we knew we had to try it. And as usual, Stonyfield Farm exceeded our expectations in taste and quality. We already enjoy their regular yogurts on a daiy basis, and now we’re more than happy to add their new YoKids Greek yogurt onto our shopping list.
If you’ve ever tried Greek yogurt, then you’re likely to think that they’re really thick and gooey-tasting. Greek yogurt is a bit thicker than regular low-fat yogurt, and some people either like it or not. But in the case of Stonyfield Farm’s YoKids Greek yogurt, they are super creamy, super smooth, and has a really mild and delicate flavor and taste. Their custard-like texture is easy for little kids and babies to eat and the portion is just right too. And what’s great about YoKids Greek yogurt is that they also contain Stonyfield Farm’s exclusive blend of six live active cultures: S.THERMOPHILUS, L.BULGARICUS, L.ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, L.CASEI AND L.RHAMNOSUS. Yogurt is ever popular nowadays and if you go to the supermarket, you’ll find an entire section dedicated to yogurt. But no two yogurts are exactly alike. Sure they may have similar flavors and textures and they all contain some form of live active cultures, but Stonyfield Farm goes a step further than most companies. They’ve been making organic yogurt since the start of their company and they are family-owned and created. Their love for organic dairy transcended and set an example for all other organic dairy companies and now you can find Stonyfield Farm dairy products in practically every grocery store across the nation.
At Stonyfield Farm (http://www.stonyfield.com/), they are all about creating wholesome, healthy, and delicious dairy foods that everyone will like. Stonyfield Farm makes products for babies, for young children, and for adults and all based on the love of really fabulous, organic and natural dairy. All of Stonyfield Farm products are made with organically-grown ingredients such as organic milk from their family of dairy farmers, organic sugar, organic rasberries, organic vanilla, organic soy, and other superb organically-grown ingredients. Stonyfield Farm doesn’t skimp on lesser quality ingredients because their farmers eat and enjoy the exact same products. If you’ve ever tried Stonyfield Farm’s dairy products, then you’ll know when I say that their yogurts and frozen desserts are incredibly delicious! I don’t rave much about yogurt, but since I’ve been eating them since I was a young kid, I’ve trained my palette to taste the difference between conventional yogurt and unique, high-quality yogurt such as Stonyfield Farm’s. Not that there’s anything wrong with other yogurts, but Stonyfield Farm has been making yogurt and dairy products for such a long time, they’ve perfected the taste and quality in each of their products.
Since Stonyfield Farm knew how much my son and I enjoy their yogurts, they wanted us to try their newest YoKids Greek Yogurt. Currently they come in only 2 flavors – Rasberry and Strawberry, but I’m hoping they’ll make more flavors soon because the new YoKids Greek Yogurt tastes fantastic! My son’s first reaction after taking a bite of the YoKids Greek Yogurt in Rasberry, was “Mmm, this is good”. I didn’t think he would like Greek Yogurt because of the way they’re made, but YoKids Greek Yogurt doesn’t taste or look like the traditional greek yogurts you find in stores. They are specifically created for children’s palettes in mind. After all, who has the most distinguised and pickiest tastebuds? Kids of course! The cute little containers and decorations are also easy to spot in stores and for kids to remember to eat their yogurt. And since YoKids Greek yogurt provides a good amount of calcium and Vitamin D, it’s even more important for growing children to eat them on a regular basis. We all know that eating yogurt helps build a strong immune system as well as create good bacteria in our digestive system, so having your kids eat them every day is always a good decision. But what’s even more important is giving them yogurt made without any artificial ingredients or preservatives and at best, made with organically-grown ingredients. This ensures that whatever toxic chemicals were used to preserve the ingredients in conventionally-grown foods won’t get into your children’s bodies as well. Because according to the USDA, organically-grown foods go through a strict checklist of do’s and dont’s and a company has to fully qualify in order to be certified organic. We don’t like toxic chemicals in our environment and we certainly don’t like it in our children’s bodies either.
Currently, you can find Stonyfield Farm’s YoKids Greek Yogurt at most natural grocery stores. I found mine at Wholefoods Market after an extensive search but I sure am glad we finally found them.
