Stonyfield Organic – Products Worth Reviewing

STONYFIELD ORGANIC

Most people who know me can pretty much guess our love for Stonyfield by the abundant supply of their yogurts in my fridge. My son specifically asks for them and I don’t hesitate to buy them whenever we run out. So why do I love that brand so much? Well, mainly because of their assortment of delicious and wholesome yogurt and dairy products but the top reason is because they are made with only natural and organic ingredients. When it comes to yogurt, we do our best to buy only organic.

When we first discovered Stonyfield many years ago, there were only a few products available. Now, having a co-op of dairy farmers supplying them with wholesome and organic dairy, we are fortunate that Stonyfield has immensely expanded their dairy products. Today, they have everything from yogurt to protein smoothies to ice cream and all of them are made with organic fruits and dairy. We haven’t tried all of their products yet but we’re getting pretty close in doing so.  Our favorites are definitely the yogurt squeezers, Yokids smoothies, and regular yogurts, but after our recent visit to the Natural Products Expo West, I’d have to say we added Oh My Yog! which is a fruit blended yogurt and OP Organic Protein smoothie, which is fortified with complete protein.

Currently, Stonyfield’s lineup of products include Yokids and YoBaby yogurts, Greek yogurt, Smooth & Creamy, Oh My Yog! Yogurt squeezers, Ice Cream, Petite Creme, OP, and Smoothies. All of them are made with only natural and organic ingredients and sourced responsibly and with the environment in mind. Their farmers use people and Earth-friendly pest control so their ingredients are safe for us and for the planet.

Stonyfield (http://www.stonyfield.com/) can be found at most natural grocery stores as well as most major supermarkets. Their ice cream are a bit limited in stores as I’ve found them in only natural grocery stores, but if you do happen upon them, don’t bypass them because they are so rich and creamy and not too sweet. And because Stonyfield is dedicated to their farmers and consumers, you can now find out where they source their ingredients in a fun interactive way on their website: http://www.stonyfield.com/sourcemap/. Below you’ll see a photo of my favorite person at Stonyfield showing off the new Oh My Yog! yogurt and standing next to the source map. Be sure to check out Stonyfield’s website for lots of healthy info!

Stonyfield Farm YoKids Greek Yogurt – Products Worth Reviewing and Giveaway

We’re always excited when Stonyfield Farm comes out with a new yogurt product. In our household, our fridge is stocked up on all kinds of Stonyfield Farm yogurts. My son’s favorite is their YoKids yogurt and Smoothies but when we were introduced to Stonyfield Farm’s newest variety – YoKids Greek Yogurt, we knew we had to try it. And as usual, Stonyfield Farm exceeded our expectations in taste and quality. We already enjoy their regular yogurts on a daiy basis, and now we’re more than happy to add their new YoKids Greek yogurt onto our shopping list.

If you’ve ever tried Greek yogurt, then you’re likely to think that they’re really thick and gooey-tasting. Greek yogurt is a bit thicker than regular low-fat yogurt, and some people either like it or not. But in the case of Stonyfield Farm’s YoKids Greek yogurt, they are super creamy, super smooth, and has a really mild and delicate flavor and taste. Their custard-like texture is easy for little kids and babies to eat and the portion is just right too. And what’s great about YoKids Greek yogurt is that they also contain Stonyfield Farm’s exclusive blend of six live active cultures: S.THERMOPHILUS, L.BULGARICUS, L.ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, L.CASEI AND L.RHAMNOSUS. Yogurt is ever popular nowadays and if you go to the supermarket, you’ll find an entire section dedicated to yogurt. But no two yogurts are exactly alike. Sure they may have similar flavors and textures and they all contain some form of live active cultures, but Stonyfield Farm goes a step further than most companies. They’ve been making organic yogurt since the start of their company and they are family-owned and created. Their love for organic dairy transcended and set an example for all other organic dairy companies and now you can find Stonyfield Farm dairy products in practically every grocery store across the nation.

At Stonyfield Farm (http://www.stonyfield.com/), they are all about creating wholesome, healthy, and delicious dairy foods that everyone will like. Stonyfield Farm makes products for babies, for young children, and for adults and all based on the love of really fabulous, organic and natural dairy. All of Stonyfield Farm products are made with organically-grown ingredients such as organic milk from their family of dairy farmers, organic sugar, organic rasberries, organic vanilla, organic soy, and other superb organically-grown ingredients. Stonyfield Farm doesn’t skimp on lesser quality ingredients because their farmers eat and enjoy the exact same products. If you’ve ever tried Stonyfield Farm’s dairy products, then you’ll know when I say that their yogurts and frozen desserts are incredibly delicious! I don’t rave much about yogurt, but since I’ve been eating them since I was a young kid, I’ve trained my palette to taste the difference between conventional yogurt and unique, high-quality yogurt such as Stonyfield Farm’s. Not that there’s anything wrong with other yogurts, but Stonyfield Farm has been making yogurt and dairy products for such a long time, they’ve perfected the taste and quality in each of their products.

Since Stonyfield Farm knew how much my son and I enjoy their yogurts, they wanted us to try their newest YoKids Greek Yogurt. Currently they come in only 2 flavors – Rasberry and Strawberry, but I’m hoping they’ll make more flavors soon because the new YoKids Greek Yogurt tastes fantastic! My son’s first reaction after taking a bite of the YoKids Greek Yogurt in Rasberry, was “Mmm, this is good”. I didn’t think he would like Greek Yogurt because of the way they’re made, but YoKids Greek Yogurt doesn’t taste or look like the traditional greek yogurts you find in stores. They are specifically created for children’s palettes in mind. After all, who has the most distinguised and pickiest tastebuds? Kids of course! The cute little containers and decorations are also easy to spot in stores and for kids to remember to eat their yogurt. And since YoKids Greek yogurt provides a good amount of calcium and Vitamin D, it’s even more important for growing children to eat them on a regular basis. We all know that eating yogurt helps build a strong immune system as well as create good bacteria in our digestive system, so having your kids eat them every day is always a good decision. But what’s even more important is giving them yogurt made without any artificial ingredients or preservatives and at best, made with organically-grown ingredients. This ensures that whatever toxic chemicals were used to preserve the ingredients in conventionally-grown foods won’t get into your children’s bodies as well. Because according to the USDA, organically-grown foods go through a strict checklist of do’s and dont’s and a company has to fully qualify in order to be certified organic. We don’t like toxic chemicals in our environment and we certainly don’t like it in our children’s bodies either.

Currently, you can find Stonyfield Farm’s YoKids Greek Yogurt at most natural grocery stores. I found mine at Wholefoods Market after an extensive search but I sure am glad we finally found them. And when they do come out with new flavors of their YoKids Greek Yogurt, you can be sure that we’ll stock up on those too. For more info about Stonyfield Farm and any of their yogurts, smoothies, and frozen treats, please visit their website: http://www.stonyfield.com/. And be sure to sign up for Stonyfield Rewards too – you’ll get great info and points to collect and win great free stuff!

Be a Food Superhero – Campaign and Giveaway

Stonyfield Farm likes to ask, “What’s a Food Superhero?” Food superheroes know their food and make food choices that protect their health, family farmers, animals, and the planet. So are you a food superhero and if not, how do you become one? One simple answer is to visit Stonyfield Farm’s latest campaign at: https://iwillknowmyfood.com. Through an ongoing campaign partnered with Food Corps ( http://foodcorps.org/), Stonyfield Farm will donate $1 to each superhero profile that’s created on their site, when you share through Facebook, Twitter, or email, and when you Tweet using hashtag #FoodSuperhero. Stonyfield Farm (http://www.stonyfield.com/), a leading organic and natural yogurt company in the US, has been making great food choices for their consumers – by providing the best possible yogurts and yogurt-based frozen desserts.

According to a report made by LetsMove, a government-sponsored health initiative, child obesity has tripled over three decades in the United States. Our children and possibly future generations may be in jeopardy of obesity if something isn’t done now. It’s crucial for parents, especially parents of young children to teach their kids to eat responsibly and make responsible food choices. When kids learn at an early age to eat the right kind of foods, then they’ll grow up to eat more healthily and make healthier choices. That’s why Stonyfield Farm and Food Corps has teamed up to help kids in America live a healthier lifestyle through their everyday food choices.

As an official Healthy Child Healthy World blogger, I was given the opportunity to become a “Food Superhero”. I created a Superhero profile and my profile is: “The Green Organics”. My food superpower is: Kapow! I use food choices to protect the little guy. And my Kryptonite: Nothing!  It’s super easy and super fun to create your own Food Superhero on their site. Simply select from the choices given and you’re instantly transformed into a well-informed food superhero. Much easier than falling into toxic waste to gain superpowers! And what’s even better is that with each Superhero profile created, Stonyfield Farm will donate $1 to Food Corps for each activity performed (Create a Superhero profile, Tweet, and Like). So not only are you helping your little ones, but you’ll be able to help other little ones too. And the more activities you do on their site, the more money will be donated.

When I was given an unique opportunity to create my own Superhero profile, I was also the winner of a $50 Whole Foods Gift Card, a blue Superhero Cape, and a coupon for any Stonyfield Farm yogurt. As an official Healthy Child Healthy World blogger, I was also given the opportunity to offer 1 LUCKY reader of Happymomblogger the opportunity to win the Be a Food Superhero prize pack. The winner will receive a $50 Whole Foods Gift Card, a Superhero cape, and a Stonyfield Farm coupon. So how do you win this wonderful prize as well as help others? Read below to find out!

Stonyfield Farm – Products worth Reviewing and Giveaway

Do dairy cows usually have a say in where they live and what they eat? Well, most people probably don’t care so much, but when it comes to dairy products, I try my best to buy products from organic companies who are also environmentally and ethically-based. Such is the case for Stonyfield Farm. Not only do they produce organic dairy products, but they are environmentally responsible in every step from raising their cows to packaging to transporting their dairy products. When you have a healthy environment for your cows, then they’ll most likely produce greater amount of milk. And if you feed them grass from certified organic pastures, then it ensures your dairy products will be organic.

The background of Stonyfield Farm began with two friends. One an agriculturist, the other an entrepreuner. Both saw a need to teach their community the importance of yogurt and to support their local farms. Soon after that, what began as a simple idea of teaching their town about sustainable agricultural practices grew into a company that now makes everything dairy related. Stonyfield Farm produces organic yogurts, smoothies, soy yogurts, ice cream, and milk and you can find their products in most major supermarket and natural grocery stores. Their products are even sold in come colleges in the United States. They also offer a “Rewards” program for really fun prizes when you purchase their products.

What I love best about Stonyfield Farm is that my son loves their yogurt. He can gobble up 2 or 3 packages of their YoKids Squeezers which is essentially organic yogurt in a tube. They are easy to hold, fun to eat, and if you don’t tell your kids – the squeezers are also good for them. Currently they come in Strawberry and Cherry& Berry and they’re made with organic ingredients which is so important for little kids growing bodies. Eating as much organically-made food as possible helps ensure a healthier future for kids. And who doesn’t want that? And eating dairy or foods high in calcium and Vitamin D is crucial for growing bodies.

Stonyfield Farm began over 30 years ago with a simple yet honest thought – to teach their community about farming skills. When they realized that the needs of their community and their own family grew, the two friends branched out and started a yogurt company in Stonyfield Farm, Wilton, New Hampshire. It began with a handful of cows and later grew to a collective of small farms that now supply the dairy for Stonyfield Farm. And on those farms, healthy cows are producing organic milk to make their yummy yogurt and ice cream.

But Stonyfield Farm doesn’t just produce organic dairy products. They also make organic soy yogurt which are fortified with important live cultures to help with digestion and immunity. Their organic soy yogurt comes in flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and blueberry. What I like best about their soy yogurt is that it’s really smooth and not immensely sweet so you taste the natural flavors of soy and fruit.

Organic, sustainability, and responsible business practices are what drives Stonyfield Farm to succees and become one of the leaders in the dairy industry. When you choose to purchase and consume organic food, you’re not only helping to improve your health, but you’re also helping organic farms and their communities and furthermore increasing the availability and importance of organic products.

Stonyfield Farm has generously offered 1 LUCKY reader of Happymomblogger some great prizes! The giveaway includes 4 Yokids Coupons, a YoKids super cape, and 4 Oikos Organic Multipack coupons. Read below to find out how you can enter the Stonyfield Farm giveaway:
